The Professional Sales Organization (PSO) of Temple University has developed an extensive sales training program with increasing degrees of intensity and depth to ensure all members have a chance to learn and master the art of sales and influencing others.
What We Teach
Through the Negotiation Series and more so through the Sales Seminar, We teach students PSO’s 5 Step Sales Process:
Each step involves sub-components and subtleties that are impossible to attain through a classroom education, and can only be mastered through practice and experience. PSO provides high-level hands on practice through intensive role-play exercises and case simulations. Corporate Sponsors are also actively involved in our training in the Sales Seminar.
Fundamentals of Sales
All members begin with the basics in the PSO training program. Members learn the fundamentals of consultative sales including: introductions & approach, asking effective questions, presenting a solution, and obtaining commitments.
Through the "Fundamentals of Sales" you will understand how to sell:
After understanding the sales fundamentals, receive extensive role play practice and feedback with the sales process.
After our "Advanced Selling" training you will have the ability to sell:
To become "PSO Certified" you must have the ability to sell in high-pressure situations. This is learned through extensive practice with other PSO Certified members and scheduled role plays with corporate partners.
